Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
QRA is a process
of quantifying the likelihood and consequences
of accidents scenarios, and then combine them to
produce the risk level.
Likelihood or Frequency Analysis: is carried out based on statistical data. For Chemical Industries, Oil and Gas and Petrochemical, HSEAll Consulting develops an in-house spreadsheet tool for calculating the likelihoods of accidental scenarios, such as toxic and flammable releases those may lead to toxic and fires and explosions accident. The spreadsheet integrates accidental data from United Kingdom Health & Safety Executive (UK HSE)
Ignition Probability Modeling: The United Kingdom Offshore Oil & Gas Association (UKOOA) methodologies are used for Ignition Probability calculations for HSEAll QRA services.
Risk Analysis: Risk Analysis combines Likelihood and Consequence Analyses and produce Risk Levels and Results. For onshore installations, Location Specific Individual Risk (LSIR) shall be calculated and plotted risk contours. For Offshore Installations, Individual Risk Per Annum (IRPA) shall be calculated for specific workers groups.
Risk Assessment: Risk Results shall be assessed against the Risk Acceptance Criteria of relevant Installations.
HSEAll offers full range of QRA services with H.QRA Tools Kit developed for different Installations, such as Offshore Platforms, Subsea Pipelines, Onshore Installations and Onshore Pipelines. The H.QRA Tool Kit have been used for some QRA projects. Click here to see HSEAll QRA Projects References.
